ZOLL AED Plus Defibrillator
The ZOLL AED Plus CPR-D-padz are a one-piece design in the shape of a Z, with very clear images for placement on the patient’s chest. Once the centre piece of the pads is placed on the patient’s chest as outlined in the image, the top left pads and bottom right pads are automatically in place, with the pads ready to be peeled to adhere to the patient.
Once CPR commences, the ZOLL defibrillator will relay audible and text prompts to the rescuer. The ZOLL AED Plus also features a back-lit display screen that provides simultaneous text with every audio prompt. The compression depth bar gauge on the ZOLL AED Plus provides a visual indicator to assist in achieving the recommended depth of compressions.
ZOLL AED 3 Defibrillator
This model of ZOLL defibrillator has some additional features, which can be beneficial to certain users and environments in which they will be used. One key feature is Universal Pads, which means the same set of pads can be used on an adult or child, by simply pressing a button to change the mode.
By changing the mode, this will automatically reduce the shock level being delivered to a child, and save time in an emergency, by eliminating the need of having to replace adult pads with paediatric pads. In an emergency, time is critical, and universal pads play an important role in reducing time.
The ZOLL AED 3 also features a colour screen which displays information to the rescuer, such as how to open the pads, where to apply the pads, and real time CPR feedback. This model can also connect to an available Wi-Fi network, which benefits the user in multiple ways, such as providing the ability for a rescuer to download patient data, and the defibrillator will notify the user if pads or batteries require replacement.
